Heatherwood School and its school council work together as a partnership. The School Council plays a key role in the school with some of its responsibilities being:

• Developing plans to ensure the schools future
• Approving and monitoring the schools budget
• Generally stimulating interest in the schools policies
• Advocating on behalf of the School Community
