Each specialist setting has specific enrolment eligibility criteria that are approved by the Minister for Education or their delegates. All students wishing to enrol at Heatherwood School must meet the eligibility criteria for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).
Heatherwood Eligibility Criteria
- Full Scale Intelligence Quotient (FSIQ) score between 50 - 70. A Cognitive Assessment (WISC-V) issued within the past two years from date of specialist school verification is required for all students
and
- Adaptive Behaviour Composite (ABC) score between 50 - 70. A Comprehensive Teacher Vineland assessment issued within 12 months of specialist school verification is required.
These assessments will need to be supplied once an enrolment enquiry has been submitted for the purpose of assessing eligibility. We will also require your child's current school to complete and submit a 'Specialist School Disability Category Verification Form' (SSDCV) after speaking with the Enrolment Coordinator at Heatherwood School and forward the outcome upon receipt.
